Brenda first became aware of her health about 29 years ago. She didn’t realize at that time how important a good diet, good supplements and a good mental and emotional outlook were. By the time she realized these things were important she had already begun an ulcer, was close to a nervous breakdown and was addicted to over-the-counter laxatives. Additionally, she suffered from ulcerated colitis, chronic back pain and chronic hives on her arms and legs. She decided to take responsibility for her health and began a healing process she would never have imagined could be possible.
Brenda has focused her attention on healing all parts of her being. She has learned how to take care of her emotional, physical and spiritual being. She has learned how to express ALL that SHE IS and has been developing her knowledge, self-confidence and awareness.
Brenda’s Purpose in Life Is To Teach Others How To Heal Their Mind, Body and Spirit. Brenda intends to devote herself to this process and in so doing will gain empowerment to continue her growth as an emotional, physical and spiritual human being!
Brenda was certified in Iridology by Dr. Bernard Jensen in 1987. She was certified by the American Association of Nutritional Consultants as a Certified Nutritional Consultant and as a Certified Herbalist by Dr. Jim Jenks in 1990, respectively.
Brenda has been practicing Iridology, Nutritional Consulting and Herbalism through Joyful Living Services in the Sacramento area for the past 13 years and in the Bay Area for 12 years prior to that. She has consulted in the Natural Vision Center as well as the Sutter Chiropractic Center in San Francisco and has shared an office with a massage therapist in Alameda. She currently works out of her home office in the Sacramento area.

Brenda has been both an invited speaker and participant at the 2012 International Iridology Practitioner’s Association (IIPA) Conference in Las Vegas.
She has also been an invited speaker and participant at the San Jose, and San Francisco Whole Life Expos. She has worked at numerous Expos and fairs including the San Francisco Haight Street Fair, Sonoma Health & Harmony Fair, San Jose Environmental Exposition, San Jose New Age Renaissance Fair, San Francisco Castro Street Fair, San Francisco Fair, San Francisco New Age Fair, San Jose National Health Federation Convention, and the San Francisco World Expo.

The Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine offers 3 levels of study to cover the needs of all who want to study Holistic Medicine:
1. Stand alone, distance learning Diploma Courses in many different topics – these distance learning courses can be taken by individuals interested in these topics, or by existing practitioners who wish to expand their diagnostic and therapy modalities.
2. Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine – BSc (HM) – this is a unique series of natural medicine courses that are rarely found in schools and colleges of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) or Natural Medicine.
3. Doctor of Science in Holistic Medicine – DSc (HM) – this is an extension of the BSc (HM) but can also be taken by existing pracitioners who want to get a broader base of diagnostic and healing modalities.

What is IIPA?
The International Iridology Practitioners Association is a registered, non-profit organization, founded in 1982. It is governed by IIPA members who volunteer and make up the voting Board of Directors. Their role is to disseminate materials and help set the professional standards present today in the field of Iridology. For decades, medical practitioners considered different facets of natural medicine, including Iridology, to be inappropriate approaches to natural health and healing. We at IIPA have the valiant efforts of Dr. Bernard Jensen, as well as other iconic pioneers, to thank for saving Iridology from extinction. This organization was originally called the National Iridology Research Association (NIRA), but the name was changed in 2000 to better reflect our international reach. In 1993, the organization attained its non-profit tax-exempt status.
