Existe ciência em iridologia?
À medida que minha investigação de iridologia prosseguia, a questão da ciência surgiu. Como eu poderia provar a outra pessoa que a íris estava anatomicamente e fisiologicamente equipada para indicar o que me ensinaram a acreditar que poderia? No início do meu treinamento de iridologia, fui ensinado que os impulsos nervosos atingem o cérebro dos tecidos do corpo e são roteados para a íris através do nervo óptico. Quando as informações do nervo atingiram as fibras da íris, causou uma reestruturação na íris para refletir a condição dos tecidos do corpo. Kelley ISBN: 0-8385-0567-8] Em outras palavras, as fibras de íris não são putas de fibras nervosas, mas as estrias de células que são semelhantes às da cartilagem. Com isso “microanatomia” Em mente, onde está o apoio científico para a idéia de uma mudança estrutural na íris através do sistema nervoso? A menos que outras evidências sejam apresentadas, não há suporte para essa idéia. Toda a questão de apresentar uma base anatômica, histológica e fisiológica para a iridologia é crucialmente importante. Até o ponto em que eu estava finalmente disposto a questionar as idéias básicas da iridologia, meus estudos anteriores apresentaram apenas uma sombra de dúvida. Até este ponto, fui capaz de questionar a validade e o valor de minhas conclusões contra a iridologia porque outros iridologistas tinham conclusões opostas ou não encontraram nada de errado com conclusões semelhantes às minhas. Era difícil acreditar que algo em que eu confiava que a maior parte da minha vida estava errada.
